Czech game designer Daniel Vávra was well-known to players for the first two installments of the
Mafia series.
Gamers loved his work for its historical accuracy, deep plot, enormous attention to
detail, and moderately challenging gameplay. Daniel's departure from under the wing of publisher
Take-Two Interactive
was a big surprise for the entire industry, but the concerns were in vain. He decided to found
his own studio and start creating the game of his dreams. That's how Kingdom Come:
Deliverance came to be – the first large-budget role-playing game without magic, elves, dragons,
or other fantasy
elements. The main feature of the project was historical authenticity.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released in 2018 and received mixed reviews from players and
journalists. On the one hand, the project was praised for its plot, script, gameplay,
atmosphere, and
historical accuracy. On the other hand, the game was heavily criticized for bugs, technical
flaws, and
cut mechanics that the developers promised to implement. Over time, many
patches and additions to the game were released, and the audience's anger turned to joy. If you
look at the reviews and
comments of recent years, gamers and journalists highly praise Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Daniel Vávra has always been open to dialogue with players, and he honestly admitted that bugs,
technical flaws, and cut mechanics are a consequence of a very small development budget.
The studio simply didn't have enough time and resources to bring the project to completion. This
situation was not repeated with Kingdom
Come: Deliverance II. The developers had enough strength, and they released
one of the best RPGs of all time.
HYPERPC Computer for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – February
2025
With a HYPERPC computer, you can embark on an unforgettable medieval adventure without
worrying about system requirements. Our PCs guarantee high and stable performance in
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
The sequel takes place immediately after the end of the first part. The main character,
Henry, along with
his friend Jan Ptacek, goes on a journey in search of allies of King Wenceslaus.
They intend to oppose his brother, the ruler of Hungary, Sigismund, who is seizing
power in Bohemia and trying to subjugate all the lands of the Holy Roman Empire.
In parallel with this, Henry is trying to avenge the death of his parents and find the
traitor
who stole his father's sword.
During the journey, the heroes face difficulties. They lose their equipment and end up in
only their underwear in the middle of an unfamiliar village. The heroes must resume their
mission and find
allies to fight against Sigismund.
Gameplay Features of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II differs from other open-world
role-playing games in:
variability;
survival mechanics;
complex combat system;
historical accuracy.
Variability
In almost all modern role-playing games, variability ends with the combat system, but in
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the developers went further. Just like in classic RPGs, almost
all missions can be completed in different ways. Don't want to fight – use stealth.
Don't like hiding – resort to diplomacy or bribery. Moreover, the developers don't even
hint at role-playing options. You have to think for yourself and decide how best to complete
the task.
Survival Mechanics
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, the main character is a living person who wants to eat and
sleep.
He also needs to wash regularly, otherwise other NPCs won't want to talk to him, and
merchants won't even
consider giving a discount. The player will have to constantly monitor the main character's
indicators
and think about how to plan the playthrough. For example, in order for the main character
not to fall into a
hungry faint during a journey, you need to buy food in advance. And such that it does not
spoil on the way.
Features of the Combat System
To strike in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, you need to not only press the corresponding
button, but also set the direction with a mouse movement. For example, if the opponent has a
shield on his left
arm, then it is pointless to hit from this side. In this case, you need to attack with blows
from above,
below, or from the left. Series of attacks from several sides can be turned into
combinations that are
more difficult for the enemy to dodge.
The damage inflicted has a very complex calculation formula. The game takes into account what
weapon was used to strike,
where it landed, and what the opponent was wearing. For example, if you hit steel
armor with a sword, you won't inflict much damage on the enemy, but if you arm yourself with
a war hammer, then the type
of armor won't play a big role.
The same applies to firearms. Armor-piercing arrows are suitable for shooting at enemies in
armor, and wounding arrows are for shooting at lightly armed targets.
Historical Accuracy
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II tries to be realistic in everything. Including in the setting.
The game world is a reconstruction of medieval Bohemia. These are not empty words, as
the developers constantly consulted with historians, and they managed to create a world that
is a real encyclopedia of the past.
System Requirements for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

require
