About the Project

We were contacted by “Hold the Door” - one of the largest and most recognizable content creators specializing in the hardcore survival game Rust.

For a long time, he assembled his computers on his own, but his demands increased and the old PC could no longer keep up: gaming in 4K was difficult, and rendering demanding video projects took up too much precious time. In addition, he wanted to get not just a “box of hardware”, but a genuine design showpiece that would look striking and reflect its owner’s status.

This time he trusted the HYPERPC team, and we created for him the ultimate computer that makes no compromises on performance and looks great.

Mission and concept

The main requirement was absolute power for 4K gaming and fast video production. The visual part had to reflect the spirit of the channel and the customer’s favorite game - Rust.

“Eduard did not want any small and fragile decorative elements, either inside or outside, since he will often transport the PC on an airplane abroad. He allowed only subtle elements of painting on the outside, a cleanly routed cooling loop inside and his logo. Of course, we also put considerable work into the cooling loop: we made it unlike any other and used 3D printing to give the logo real depth.”

Customization and design: “Hold the Door” style

Exterior: We applied fine airbrushing and UV printing to the glass and metal panels. The design features the famous Rust logo, industrial warning stripes, technical inscriptions, and the iconic phrase “NO FRIENDS ONLY LOOT” for players.
Distribution plate with logo: The heart of the visual composition inside was an unconventional cooling loop for our CONCEPT series: we reoriented one of the radiators and replaced the horizontal tubing at the upper radiator with vertical runs using a set of fittings. We installed a large “Hold the Door” channel logo on the distribution plate. Thanks to the lighting and circulating liquid, the logo looks three-dimensional and dynamic.
Custom cables: The custom cable management uses black-and-red braided sleeving. Meticulously routed graphics-card and motherboard power cables emphasize the build’s clean geometry and the attention paid even to details that normally go unnoticed.

Engineering and Cooling

Removing heat from the RTX 5090 and the flagship Ryzen 9 9950X3D is not an easy task. Standard air cooling would ruin the aesthetics, so we designed a complex custom liquid cooling system.

Custom acrylic cooling loop: We used 12 mm rigid acrylic tubing, arranged in precise parallel runs as close to the components as possible. No chaos - just precise geometry leading from the distribution plate to the water blocks on the main components and radiators.
Blood of the machine: The circuit is filled with premium EK-CryoFuel Red fluid. The rich blood red color contrasts perfectly with the matte black metal of the components and echoes the Rust theme.
Wireless fan magic: To get rid of unnecessary wires and maintain minimalism, we installed innovative Lian Li UNI FAN TL WIRELESS 120 fans (including reverse-blade versions for proper airflow without compromising aesthetics). They provide airflow through the 360 mm radiators and the case, with virtually invisible cabling.

First launch and emotions

The most important moment of any of our projects is the client’s reaction when the PC is first powered on and tested in real conditions. To show off the full potential of the new system, we immediately ran Rust at maxed-out Ultra settings in 4K resolution.

The combination of RTX 5090 and Ryzen 9 9950X3D produced visuals so smooth, realistic, and detailed that the familiar world of the game looked completely new. The customer’s first reaction was priceless; it is for the sake of such sincere emotions that our team puts so much effort into each custom project.
