Vladimir approached us with an ambitious request: to create not just a high-performance computer, but a unique art object as a gift that would seamlessly fit into the interior. The main challenge was that the client wanted a custom wall-mounted station combining the aesthetics of past-era mechanisms with future technologies.
- Field of use: Ultra settings gaming, demanding professional workloads.
- Key requirement: Modern games in 4K, resource-intensive applications.
- Special conditions: Deep customization in Steampunk style with moving mechanisms, integration of the client’s corporate logo, and use of premium materials (copper, brass, etc.).
Concept and solution
Our flagship HYPERPC WALL platform was taken as the foundation. However, a standard solution was not enough. During the process, the concept evolved from a “strict black case” into a complex steampunk design.
The main challenge was implementing moving elements. Together with our design team and production engineers, we developed a unique setup:
- Moving mechanisms: A handle made from 30-year-old redwood was designed and crafted — when turned, it drives a system of gears.
- Materials: Real brass and copper were used for finishing (bolts, rivets, decorative elements), giving the system an authentic industrial look.
- Cooling system: After extensive discussions between copper and transparent tubing, we chose clear acrylic with bright red liquid. This created the effect of a “living organism” inside a mechanical shell while preserving flow dynamics.
- Personalization: A custom chassis was created specifically for the project, with the client’s logo laser-cut into it and enhanced with customizable RGB lighting (Light Bar).
Result
The client received a one-of-a-kind wall-mounted PC artwork. The combination of cold metal gears and aggressive red liquid created a striking visual effect.
Despite its decorative appearance, this is an extremely powerful workstation. Thanks to the custom liquid cooling and top-tier components, the system runs completely silent even under heavy loads, and its unique design made it one of the most talked-about projects in our custom division.
