Gaming PCs for GTA 6
The PC version has not been announced and there are no official system requirements. These configurations are designed so you will not need to replace the entire system when it arrives.
How these configurations are planned
A PC for GTA 6 should not be selected around unconfirmed system requirements. The priority today is platform headroom: we use the console target as a baseline, then add more memory and room for future upgrades.
| Component | Target | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Video memory | 12 GB minimum, 16 GB preferred | open worlds become limited by texture memory before raw speed |
| System memory | 32 GB DDR5 | 16 GB is expected to be the minimum, while modern ports use aggressive caching |
| Processor | 8 cores | the console target uses eight cores, and Rockstar ports are CPU-intensive |
| Storage | 2 TB NVMe or more | world streaming depends on storage performance |
| Power supply and case | with headroom | so the release-time upgrade can be limited to replacing the graphics card |
Three configuration tiers for GTA 6
What we know about GTA 6
Rockstar has confirmed the release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on November 19, 2026. The PC version has not been officially announced, and no PC system requirements are available.
That is why a GTA 6 PC should be purchased for its headroom rather than a specific date. Read more about the release status and what to expect from a future PC port in our article about PCs for GTA 6.
How to choose before requirements are published
The console development target is a useful baseline. The game is designed around an eight-core CPU, about 16 GB of shared memory, RDNA 2-class graphics and fast NVMe storage with hardware decompression. A PC port always needs more than the console baseline, but it still indicates the general scale of the requirements.
This gives us a practical target for a PC purchased today: eight cores, 32 GB of RAM, a graphics card with at least 12 GB of VRAM, and NVMe storage. Every configuration in this selection follows that principle. You can also explore gaming PCs with 32 GB of RAM.
Why VRAM headroom matters
A practical target for a future PC port is at least 12 GB of VRAM, with 16 GB preferred. An open world and high-quality textures can exhaust video memory before the GPU runs out of compute performance.
In performance terms, cards in the GeForce RTX 5070 class and above should remain relevant for longer. This is not a promise of specific settings or FPS in GTA 6, because no official data is available yet.
The key decision: platform now, graphics card later
A new graphics-card generation is likely to arrive before the PC version. A sensible strategy is therefore to choose a platform with headroom and a graphics card for today's games.
The platform includes the processor, memory, motherboard, power supply, case and cooling. These components determine the cost of the next step. If the power supply and case have enough headroom, upgrading for the GTA 6 release may require replacing only the graphics card.
Upgrade after the PC version is announced
When Rockstar publishes the requirements, this page and its configurations can be checked against exact figures. If a more powerful graphics card is needed, the processor, memory, power supply, case and cooling will remain the foundation of the system.
A planned upgrade can be completed at the HYPERPC service center, or you can create a suitable foundation in advance with the gaming PC configurator.
What we do not promise
We do not claim that these PCs will run GTA 6 at Ultra settings. Nobody knows that yet because official requirements do not exist. What we can say is that these configurations are designed so the entire system will not need to be replaced when the PC version arrives.
When Rockstar publishes the requirements, this page will be updated the same day and the configurations will be revised around the exact figures.

-
When will GTA 6 be released on PC?
There is no date. The console release is scheduled for November 19, 2026, while the PC version has not been officially announced.
-
Are there official GTA 6 PC system requirements?
No. Everything published under that heading is a prediction. We use the console specification as a lower baseline.
-
Why buy a PC for GTA 6 now?
If you need a PC for today's games, the purchase makes sense on its own, while platform headroom makes a future upgrade less expensive. If GTA 6 is your only goal, there is no need to rush.
-
Which graphics card will still be relevant at release?
There is no exact answer. A practical rule is at least 12 GB of VRAM, preferably 16 GB. In performance terms, RTX 5070-class cards and above should remain relevant for the longest time.
