Client's Objective
This project was a real engineering challenge for us and a special, inspiring story. We were approached by Artyom, a longtime follower of ours and a big fan of Apple hardware. Due to health conditions (cerebral palsy), Artyom controls his computer with a special eye tracker, which requires a highly responsive and stable system.
- Scope of activity: an active user and gamer who regularly takes part in online life and needs a powerful tool to stay connected with the world.
- Software used: modern games, the Windows environment, and specialized resource-intensive software for controlling the interface with eye movements.
- Key requirement: ultimate customization. The client dreamed of an uncompromising, high-performance Windows PC, but it had to be built inside the massive aluminum case of an old Apple Mac Pro he had inherited.
Engineering Solutions
The solution required an engineering approach:
- Custom fabrication: using 3D printers, we designed and printed unique standoffs, adapters, and mounts. This allowed us to secure the components firmly and even keep the original inner covers of the upper compartment for an authentic look.
- Modifications: removing the old system took about 5 hours due to Apple’s complex architecture. We had to carefully cut out mounting areas for the motherboard rear I/O panel and integrate the cooling.
- Electrical work: to keep the exterior authentic, we soldered the stock Mac Pro power connector to the cable of the new ATX power supply.
Configuration
This unique build uses premium components that blend seamlessly into the classic aluminum design:
-
Processor:Intel Core Ultra 7 265K
-
Graphics card:MSI GeForce RTX 5080 INSPIRE 3X
-
RAM:64GB DDR5 SO-DIMM with adapter
-
Power supply:ASUS TUF 1000W
-
CPU cooling:DeepCool LE360 V2
Result
The customer received not just a computer but a dream come true — an exclusive, stylish, and incredibly powerful system that simply has no equivalent. Deep customization made it possible to combine Apple’s iconic design with the uncompromising performance of a Windows platform.
Now Artyom can enjoy top games, and most importantly, thanks to the powerful hardware, his eye tracker runs perfectly smoothly, opening new horizons for communication and an active life.
