GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti

GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti

Choosing a graphics card in the mid-range segment in 2026 is about balancing memory capacity, native performance, and access to upscaling. In this article, we look at GeForce RTX 5060 and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, compare the comparison of the 8 GB and 16 GB versions, and determine who each model is the best fit for.

NVIDIA released GeForce RTX 5060 Ti on April 16, 2025 — it is the most affordable graphics card with 16 GB of memory in the RTX 50 lineup. The starting price in Russian retail is from 2,330 AED. RTX 5060 Ti 16GB gaming tests confirm that the higher-end model runs confidently at 1440p without upscaling, with an average FPS of around 79 frames per second.

Technical specifications

Key details and architecture

Both graphics cards are based on the Blackwell 2.0 architecture and a 5 nm process node. GeForce RTX 5060 Ti uses the GB206 chip with 4,608 shader cores at around 2,800 MHz and 23.7 TFLOPS of performance. The base RTX 5060 has 3,840 CUDA cores and clocks up to 2.5 GHz.

Specification RTX 5060 RTX 5060 Ti
Architecture Blackwell 2.0 Blackwell 2.0
Shader cores 3840 4608
RT cores 30 36
Tensor cores 120 144
TDP 145–150 W 180 W

VRAM capacity and type

Both cards use GDDR7 with bandwidth of 448 GB/s on a 128-bit bus. RTX 5060 Ti is available in versions with 8 and 16 GB — the difference is noticeable in 2K with ray tracing, where memory usage reaches 10–12 GB.

Form factor and compatibility

The graphics card takes up 2 slots, has a length of 241 mm, and uses a PCIe 5.0 x8 interface. Power is supplied through a standard 1×8-pin connector, with no ATX 3.0 requirement.

Test configuration

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
  • Graphics card: Palit GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB Infinity 3
  • RAM: DDR5 2×16 GB ADATA XPG Lancer Blade 6000 MHz
  • Motherboard: MSI MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI
  • Storage: NVMe SSD 2 TB ADATA Legend 900 Pro

Testing methodology

The Palit card was tested at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K using maximum and high settings. Each test recorded average FPS without upscaling and with DLSS 4, with separate tests for ray tracing.

Gaming tests

GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti

Tests in 1080p

Average FPS in Full HD is 108 frames per second. The graphics card handles both esports titles and AAA games at maximum settings confidently.

Game Settings FPS
Counter-Strike 2 Max. 305
Dota 2 Max. 186
Fortnite Epic 147
Baldur's Gate 3 Max. 137
RDR 2 Ultra 100
Resident Evil Requiem Max. 120

Tests in 1440p

Average FPS in 2K is 79 frames per second. Most games comfortably reach 60+ FPS, with Unreal Engine 5 projects being the exception.

Game Settings FPS
Counter-Strike 2 Max. 212
Baldur's Gate 3 Max. 100
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II High 72
Expedition 33 Medium 56
Marvel Rivals Ultra 64

Tests in 4K

Average FPS in 4K is 44 frames per second. This resolution is not the target for this class of graphics cards.

Ray tracing tests

When RT is enabled, GeForce sometimes lacks enough performance for comfortable 1080p gameplay at high settings. Memory capacity is not the limitation here: usage is around 10–12 GB.

Game FPS (1080p) FPS (2K)
GTA V RTX, max. 120 76
Doom: The Dark Ages, max. 76 51
Cyberpunk 2077, max. RT 54 33
Alan Wake 2, high 50 36

Tests with DLSS enabled

Enabling DLSS 4 fundamentally changes the picture. In Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing and Frame Generation 2×, the Palit card delivers 115 FPS at 1080p and 98 FPS at 1440p.

Game FPS (1080p) FPS (2K)
Cyberpunk 2077, PT / FG 2× 115 98
Doom: The Dark Ages, RT / DLSS Q 103 75
Alan Wake 2, RT / DLSS Q / FG 2× 95 85
Battlefield 6, DLSS Q 119 103

Power consumption and temperature

TDP of the Ti version is 180 W, while the base RTX 5060 is rated at 145–150 W. Both models are powered through a standard 8-pin connector, which simplifies compatibility with any modern power supply.

Comparison with competitors

GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti

RTX 5060 Ti vs RTX 4060 Ti

The new model is 12–18% faster, while GDDR7 memory performance is doubled, and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is available.

RTX 5060 Ti vs RTX 4070

In native card testing, the cards are comparable. With Frame Generation, GeForce RTX 5060 Ti closes the gap thanks to its technological advantage.

RTX 5060 Ti vs RX 7700 XT

In games without RT, the results are close. When ray tracing and upscaling DLSS 4 are compared, DLSS 4 is noticeably ahead of AMD FSR in sharpness and detail.

RTX 5060 Ti vs RTX 3070

The rasterization gain is 15–20%, but Frame Generation delivers a qualitatively different level of FPS with ray tracing.

RTX 5060 Ti vs RTX 3060 Ti

The rasterization gain is 40–50%. The older generation supports only DLSS 2 without Multi Frame Generation.

Price-to-performance ratio

Model Price
RTX 5060 ~1,160 AED
RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB ~1,420 AED
RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB from 2,330 AED

By the price-to-performance index, GeForce RTX 5060 Ti scores 85.31 points out of 100. The version with 16 GB from Palit is the only graphics card with this amount of memory in this price segment.

Conclusions and recommendations

  • RTX 5060 — for Full HD without ray tracing and with minimal power consumption
  • RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB — for Full HD at maximum settings and basic gaming in 2K
  • RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB — for confident 2K with ray tracing and headroom for the future
