Swedish studio MachineGames spent years developing and releasing Wolfenstein games that earned critical acclaim from both critics and gamers alike. However, despite the praise, the games’ sales fell short of Bethesda's expectations. To address this, MachineGames released Wolfenstein: Youngblood, a low-budget spin-off focusing on the daughters of the main protagonist, William Joseph Blazkowicz.
Unfortunately, the spin-off received poor reviews from gamers and critics alike, and sales remained lackluster. As a result, Bethesda temporarily shelved the Wolfenstein franchise and tasked MachineGames with creating a completely new project: the adventure-action game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

The protagonist is none other than Indiana Jones, a professor of archaeology. He works at Marshall College, where an ancient artifact is mysteriously stolen. Jones must investigate the theft and retrieve the relic for the college.
His quest takes him to various corners of the world, including Vatican City, Thailand, Egypt, and the snow-covered Himalayas. Along the way, Jones faces opposition from Nazis, who seek to uncover the artifact's secrets and wield its immense power.
Gameplay
The game primarily uses a first-person perspective, though it occasionally switches to third-person during cutscenes, climbing sequences, or rope-swinging moments.
The gameplay revolves around exploration and combat, with a heavy emphasis on melee engagements. Players must dodge, block, and counterattack at the right moments. Stealth and gunplay are also options, but ammunition for firearms is scarce.
While the game doesn’t feature a fully open world, its locations are large and packed with additional content. Beyond the main storyline, players can take on side quests divided into three categories: Field Assignments, Puzzles, and Discoveries (hidden collectibles).
The game also includes a unique skill progression system. To unlock new abilities, players must find and read books scattered throughout the game’s locations. These skills are then activated using experience points, which are earned by completing main and side missions. Players can also gain experience by photographing notable landmarks, which not only boosts character development but also provides stunning in-game screenshots.
