What we know about GTA 6
Rockstar has confirmed the release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on November 19, 2026. The PC version has not been officially announced, and no PC system requirements are available.

How to choose before requirements are published
The console development target is a useful baseline. The game is designed around an eight-core CPU, about 16 GB of shared memory, RDNA 2-class graphics and fast NVMe storage with hardware decompression. A PC port always needs more than the console baseline, but it still indicates the general scale of the requirements.
This gives us a practical target for a PC purchased today: eight cores, 32 GB of RAM, a graphics card with at least 12 GB of VRAM, and NVMe storage. Every configuration in this selection follows that principle. You can also explore gaming PCs with 32 GB of RAM.
Why VRAM headroom matters
A practical target for a future PC port is at least 12 GB of VRAM, with 16 GB preferred. An open world and high-quality textures can exhaust video memory before the GPU runs out of compute performance.
In performance terms, cards in the GeForce RTX 5070 class and above should remain relevant for longer. This is not a promise of specific settings or FPS in GTA 6, because no official data is available yet.
The key decision: platform now, graphics card later
A new graphics-card generation is likely to arrive before the PC version. A sensible strategy is therefore to choose a platform with headroom and a graphics card for today's games.
The platform includes the processor, memory, motherboard, power supply, case and cooling. These components determine the cost of the next step. If the power supply and case have enough headroom, upgrading for the GTA 6 release may require replacing only the graphics card.
Upgrade after the PC version is announced
When Rockstar publishes the requirements, this page and its configurations can be checked against exact figures. If a more powerful graphics card is needed, the processor, memory, power supply, case and cooling will remain the foundation of the system.
