Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Adds Third-Person Mode and New Game+

21 November 2025.

Ubisoft has officially announced a major update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, bringing a completely new way to play the game. Starting December 5, 2025, players will be able to switch to a third-person perspective and restart their journey with New Game+.

A New Way to Explore

According to the developer's blog, "A New Perspective," the third-person mode was one of the most requested features. Originally designed as a first-person shooter, the game required significant rework to support the new camera. Ubisoft has updated:

  • Character animations and transitions.
  • Camera dynamics during combat and exploration.
  • Player movement logic.

This update allows players to see their Na’vi character in action, showcasing their gear and interactions with the environment like never before.

More Content on the Way

Alongside the camera update, the New Game+ mode will let veterans replay the story with all their unlocked skills and gear against tougher enemies. This update serves as a foundation for the upcoming story DLC, From the Ashes, launching on December 19.
