Project Description

Fedor Viktorovich approached us with a task that is familiar to many owners of powerful, but over time, outdated systems: “Make me forget about the upgrade for at least 3-4 years.” The client brought his old computer to our office on Skladochnaya to personally discuss with HYPERPC experts the complete transformation of his gaming experience.

Client's task. The client came with a clear understanding of the budget, but uncertainty in choosing a platform. The main goal is uncompromising gaming in 2K resolution and smooth performance in everyday tasks.

  • Scope of activity: Gaming, multimedia, study.
  • Software used: Modern AAA projects, office suites (MS Office 365).
  • Key requirement: Maximum future-proofing, high gaming performance and quiet system operation.

Configuration [Upgrade Edition]

The assembly is made in a strict black style with accented lighting of the components.

  • Processor:
    AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D (up to 5.0GHz, 8 cores, 96MB L3 cache).
  • Graphics card:
    ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 TUF GAMING (12GB GDDR7).
  • Motherboard:
    MSI B850 GAMING PLUS (with DDR5 and Wi-Fi support).
  • RAM:
    32GB Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR5 6000MHz.
  • Storage:
    1TB ADATA LEGEND 860 Gen4 (main) + migration of existing client disks.
  • Case:
    Lian Li LANCOOL III Black.
  • Cooling:
    DeepCool liquid cooler LE360 V2 Black.
  • Power supply:
    850W DeepCool PN850M 80+ Gold (with reserve for future upgrades).
  • Periphery:
    Premium monitor MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2.

Selection process and decision

During the dialogue, we prepared three configuration options. Initially, solutions based on Intel and the RTX 5060 Ti graphics card were considered, but after a detailed discussion with manager Alexey, the strategy changed in favor of AMD.

Why did you choose this particular solution?

  • AM5 platform: Unlike Intel, the AM5 socket will be relevant for a long time, which will allow Fedor in a few years to simply replace the processor with a newer one without changing the motherboard.
  • X3D Processor: The choice fell on the legendary Ryzen 7 7800X3D with an increased L3 cache. This is one of the best gaming processors in the world today.
  • Graphics card: We convinced the client to upgrade from the 5060 Ti to the RTX 5070. The difference in 4 GB of video memory and a wider bus (192 bits vs. 128 bits) are critical for ray-traced games at 2K resolution.
  • Case and aesthetics: Fedor himself chose the premium Lian Li LANCOOL III Black case for its thoughtful ergonomics (buttons on top, since the PC is on the floor) and excellent airflow.

Subtleties of setting up drives. This was one of the most discussed points. The client had two old drives, and we added a new high-speed 1 TB SSD. After a series of consultations with the service department, we came to the optimal scheme: the operating system is installed on the new ultra-fast M.2 NVMe, and the old drives are used as storage for media files and game libraries.

Result

We didn’t just assemble a computer, but provided a full range of services: from Trade-in credit for old components (which allowed the client to save AED 1,650) to free delivery and setup at home.

Despite a slight hitch with the distribution of disk space during the first installation, our service department promptly took the computer, reconfigured the system according to Fedor’s wishes and returned a perfectly working machine. Now the client has on his desk the ultimate gaming setup with a stunning QD-OLED screen, ready for any industry challenges.
