Deep maintenance for the flagship: Complete reassembly and maintenance of a custom circuit in the Granzon G20

About the Project

A client contacted the service with a system on an open chassis Granzon G20 (distropanel). The task is to fully service the liquid cooling circuit: disassembling, cleaning, replacing seals, testing and refilling with new fluid. The service cost is AED 2,350.

Service process: step by step

Working with cases such as the Granzon G20 requires special qualifications, since the case itself is part of the cooling system (distropanel). We divided the work into several key stages.

  • Dismantling and draining liquid: We drained the old coolant, dismantled the acrylic tubes, and removed the water blocks from the processor and graphics card to check the condition of the microchannels. When dismantling, it is important not to damage the threads of Bykski fittings and maintain the contour geometry for reassembly.
  • Cleaning the display panel: The distropanel was completely disassembled - the acrylic layers were separated, each channel was manually cleaned and the surfaces were polished.
  • Replacing seals: We replaced all the rubber O-rings in the fittings and the gaskets between the layers of the distropanel - the old ones lose their elasticity due to temperature changes.
  • Crimping (leak test): Before refueling, the assembled circuit was pumped with air under pressure and left under observation using a pressure gauge for several hours to ensure tightness.
  • Air filling and removal: We poured in new fluid and carried out a series of tests with tilting and turning the stand over to expel air bubbles from the radiator block and water blocks.

Result

The circuit has been cleared of sediment, seals have been replaced, and the fluid has been renewed. The temperatures of the processor and graphics card have returned to nominal values, the pump operates without any extraneous noise.
