Without a major announcement, AMD has released the Ryzen 5 7400 into European and Asian markets. While it offers an affordable entry into the AM5 platform, tech enthusiasts are calling it a "strange" release.

The Ryzen 5 7400 appears to be a product of silicon binning—chips that didn't meet the high standards for the Ryzen 7600 series. While it retains the Zen 4 architecture, AMD has significantly cut down its specifications to make it viable for sale.

  • Cores/Threads: 6 Cores / 12 Threads.
  • Clock Speed: 3.3 GHz Base / 4.3 GHz Boost (Lower than standard).
